Last Wednesday, December 11th, the final Purchasing Council session of 2024 took place. We were joined by 6 council members from the Purchasing Committee to analyze the results of the hard work carried out throughout the year. The training sessions conducted, such as Karrass 1 and 2 and the Buyer Competency Certificate, were discussed. Events like Buyer’s Day and Supplier’s Day, as well as major projects such as the update of the CLAUGTO Accreditation, were highlighted, with significant support from the council members. 

We also presented the initiatives that will be worked on in 2025. These include training focused on effective negotiation, supply chain management with an emphasis on cost reduction, and supplier development to strengthen business relationships. Specialized events for buyers and other networking opportunities were also planned. Above all, there are exciting projects that will bring change to the committee, such as its segmentation. Next year, we will focus heavily on strengthening and activating our purchasing community to better support more buyers working together as a team.

To end the day, we celebrated all that was accomplished during this challenging 2024, reinforcing the relationship between the council members and motivating ourselves to continue working toward a collaborative community.
