Last Thursday, August 3rd, the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato successfully hosted the "Buyer Symposium 2023" event. Over 80 buyers from various leading companies in the automotive industry gathered at this important meeting to foster networking and share experiences and strategies in the field of procurement.

The symposium provided a unique platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, with a special focus on business sustainability and transformation opportunities. Various prominent speakers in the field of procurement shared their experiences and insights, providing an enriching perspective on the topic.

Among the speakers were Claudia Cristina Villaseñor, Coordinator of MRO & CAPEX at Pirelli Mexico, and Ana Gabriela Vázquez, Buyer Shared Services NAFTA at Pirelli Mexico, who presented the conference "Business Sustainability Transforming Opportunities." In it, they addressed the importance of sustainability in the business environment and how it can be a source of opportunities for the automotive industry.

Gustavo Pacheco, Director Central de Compras y Servicios de Grupo Salinas, also participated in the symposium with his conference "Supply Chain: Who to Trust for Doing Business?" During his presentation, he highlighted the importance of establishing solid and reliable relationships with suppliers to ensure efficiency in business processes.

Francisco Gutiérrez, Director Fundador de Stratega, shared his experience in his conference "The Green and Social Aspects of IATF." In this talk, focused on environmental and social aspects of the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), the challenges and opportunities for the automotive industry in these areas were explored.

Finally, Enrique Gutiérrez, General Director of Homolab, offered his conference "What does it take to be a great leader?". In this presentation, the skills and characteristics that a leader must develop to succeed in the automotive industry and in the supply chain in general were analyzed.
