On Thursday, September 7th, the plenary session of the CLAUGTO suppliers committee took place, the theme of this meeting was to explore the B2B platform at the Automotive Supply Forum, helping to resolve their doubts during the session.
The participation of 50 automotive industry suppliers and two buyers who shared a best practice on how to have a successful business meeting was notable. The Automotive Supply Forum provides you with the opportunity to connect with purchasing companies in the automotive industry, but as a supplier, how do you ensure you had a successful business meeting?
It's crucial to be clear and concise with the information we share. They shared a chart with 4 phases:
First phase, provide basic company information, clearly state your main product and/or service, mention any by-products you handle, and specify what support activities you can provide to the buyer.
The second phase is about the buyer, listen to them about their requirements, projects, and activities they undertake, such as knowing the buyer's position, whether they are involved in indirect or direct purchasing, etc.
The third phase is to schedule the next visit, discuss key projects.
The fourth phase is for the supplier to mention all the risks that may be involved with your product or service, such as location, transportation issues for chemicals, etc. The objective is to ensure that the buyer is aware of the potential risks associated with the product and/or service they are purchasing.
Let's continue building a collaborative community #SoyCLAUGTO
