Yesterday, the executives and finance leaders of the member companies of the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato (CLAUGTO) met with some figures from the Tax Administration Service of the State of Guanajuato (SATEG) to establish a cooperative relationship.

The meeting was led by Rolando Alaniz, president of CLAUGTO; Alfredo Arzola, CEO of CLAUGTO; Marisol de Lourdes Ruenes Torres, CPA and MF, director general of SATEG; Sandra Vianney Pérez Gómez, JD, deputy director general Legal of SATEG; Sergio Daniel Espinosa Soto, deputy director general of Income of SATEG; and Carlos Alberto Martínez Tenorio, PhD, deputy director general of Tax Audit of SATEG.

The primary objective of this meeting was to present to CLAUGTO members the services and preventive tools for the areas of Administration and Finance that SATEG can offer to avoid having to take corrective actions in the future due to lack of information.

Marisol Ruenes explained that SATEG's goal is to provide efficient assistance to taxpayers, reducing costs, and strengthening technological and automated systems.

More specifically, the organization offers the benefit of "having a governing body in the application of tax legislation, which allows for the auditing of taxpayers, as well as the defense of the public treasury of the State, generating and providing the necessary information for the design and evaluation of the State's tax policy," explained the director.

On the other hand, through the assessment of taxpayers' compliance with tax obligations, they assess state, coordinated federal, alcoholic beverage, pawnshop, and scrap yard taxes. Additionally, they combat the illegal introduction of goods and vehicles into the national territory, as well as the informal economy.
