REDCAM Board of Directors Meeting

On December 4th, representatives from automotive clusters nationwide gathered for the REDCAM Board of Directors meeting, where relevant topics were addressed, such as the closure of activities for the September – November 2024 period and the development of strategic lines for the 2025 work plan.

A meeting was held with the AMIA (Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry) team, including its General Director Odracir Barquera. These meetings were highly significant due to the firsthand information shared by the association, which will play a key role in the negotiation of the USMCA (T-MEC).

During this session, discussions focused on the various challenges facing the automotive industry in the country and the strategies to be implemented to continue driving growth and development while strengthening synergies, including:

  • USMCA negotiations and the role of automotive clusters in Mexico
  • Domestic market and the importation of Chinese cars
  • New investments in Mexico and their impact
  • Auto parts manufacturing in Mexico
  • How to create greater value for Automotive Cluster members, best practices
  • Promoting innovation lines within clusters
  • And other relevant topics.

At the Automotive Cluster, we continue working in support of the automotive industry.
