Silao, Guanajuato – On February 4th, Orbis commemorated a decade of operations at its plant located in Guanajuato Puerto Interior. In a significant event, executives, employees, customers, and suppliers gathered to celebrate this milestone, which marks the growth and consolidation of the company in Mexico.

Eric Nieto kicked off the celebration by highlighting the plant's achievements, which has been recognized three times as "Plant of the Year," and expressed his gratitude to all attendees for making this moment possible.

Commitment to excellence and the environment.

Alberto Soto, Vice President and CEO of Orbis, highlighted the achievements reached in these 10 years, emphasizing manufacturing efficiency, market leadership, and, above all, the creation of an exceptional team. Currently, the plant in Silao has 610 associates who design, produce, and ship returnable packaging solutions with the highest standards of quality and service.

Since its inception, the plant has processed more than 18,000 orders, generated 42,000 shipments, and used approximately 40,200 tons of polyethylene resin, with over 50% of the material being recycled as part of its commitment to sustainability. Additionally, Soto expressed his gratitude for the support of Menasha Corporation, Orbis' parent company, as well as the backing of the board of directors and the executive leadership team.

Mr. Norm Kukuk, President of Orbis Corporation, recalled the beginning of the Orbis project in Mexico, when he and Alberto Soto explored options to establish operations in the country. He highlighted that the success achieved has been possible due to the collaboration between customers, suppliers, and the company's human talent. He also emphasized the workplace safety culture, as the plant has operated for nearly six years without incidents, demonstrating its commitment to a safe and efficient environment.
