PADF, in coordination with INA and the Automotive Clusters of the State of Mexico, San Luis Potosí, and Guanajuato, reiterated its commitment to the automotive industry to support companies with training and consultancy services aimed at promoting the legitimization of their Collective Labor Agreements (CCT).
The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), along with the President and CEO of INA, as well as the CEOs of the Automotive Clusters of San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, and the State of Mexico, called on companies in the automotive sector that have not yet legitimized their current Collective Labor Agreements (CCT) to take advantage of the tools, training, and consultancy services offered free of charge by these organizations. They aim to promote the completion of this process before the deadline of May 1, 2023.
Fernando Toriz, of the Pan American Development Foundation, invited companies to visit https://reformalaboral-automotriz.mx, where they will find the services offered such as the online course Labor Reform and Collective Contract Legitimization, which is completely free. This course provides practical information in a simple format to employers to facilitate their participation in this process. Also, they can send their doubts or questions to WhatsApp 55 5086 8448.
It is intended that with the legitimization of contracts, a better labor culture can exist within the industry, and Francisco González, President of the INA, said that with less than 100 days before the deadline established in the Federal Labor Law, only 841 contracts have been legitimized by the automotive industry, and this number may still grow in the coming months.
On the other hand, Elisa Crespo, Executive President of the Regional Automotive Cluster of the State of Mexico, mentioned that in collaboration with PADF and the involved clusters, more than a thousand companies in the automotive sector have been trained on the new labor rights and the legitimization of collective bargaining agreements.
Alfredo Arzola, General Director of the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato, reiterated that the legitimization of CBAs is an action that promotes a new labor culture that benefits both companies and their workers and unions. "This procedure brings positive things for both companies and workers and unions, among which are: avoiding simulation in collective bargaining, strikes for extortion, and protection contracts".
Liliana Aguilar, representative of the National Network of Automotive Clusters, invited automotive sector companies from across the country to meet with their unions and not wait until the last day to legitimize their CBAs, as once this deadline is reached, those contracts will end.
Finally, Fernando Toriz reiterated that all these support efforts for the legitimization of CBAs comply with what is established by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registry, with whom PADF maintains constant communication.
