The Summit's agenda encompassed 18 activities, including panels, conferences, exhibitions, official ceremonies, and 1 workshop. A total of 36 speakers participated over 2 days, representing the academic, governmental, and business sectors.
The main participating countries were Canada, France, Germany, Argentina, and El Salvador. In total, there was an outreach of 14,928 individuals across various institutional channels, both in-person and virtually.
The sustainable mobility agenda was successfully triggered, fostering conversation and reflection on where educational institutions' efforts should be directed regarding the update of plans and programs.
CLAUGTO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and IDEA Guanajuato, participated in an important workshop as a clear example of how to enable updates to plans and programs. The workshop titled "Design of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles" was conducted by Engineer Enrique Gutiérrez Carrillo from Homolab, a strategic ally of the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato. Various topics were reviewed during the workshop, with the first focusing on how to trigger the inner vocation of educational institutions.
This conversation included subtopics such as academic workload, laboratories, exchanges, scholarships, and opportunities. Another element of the workshop addressed the complete design cycle, including battery development, autonomous vehicles, design, composite materials, tire evolution, and vehicle efficiency.
Thirdly, sustainable mobility with CO2 reduction, smart cities, green technologies, battery recycling, and tire recycling. Finally, as a fourth point: the transition, generating high-impact questions to reflect on how we leverage current infrastructure, what mechanisms we need, what technology we have, and the challenge/commitment for 2022.
We appreciate the support, effort, and presence in this workshop from our associates and affiliates: Hutchinson, General Motors, Monsantz, Arcelormittal, Mitsui Kinzoku, and Purifika, who undoubtedly were key to the construction and collaboration of this workshop.
