The Guanajuato Automotive Cluster (CLAUGTO) aims to close with over $200 million in business opportunities and increase to more than 2,400 business meetings during the 11th edition of the Automotive Supply Forum 2024, to be held on August 21st and 22nd at the Poliforum in León, Guanajuato.

This event will feature 13,500 square meters of exhibition space and 492 booths, with more than 12,000 attendees expected, including over 800 buyers from OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 automotive companies.

Ramón Alfaro Gómez, head of the Guanajuato Ministry of Sustainable Economic Development, stated, "Automotive companies are present in 25 of the 46 municipalities in the state of Guanajuato. Soon, Victoria will become the 26th. This sector employs around 100,000 people in the state."

He added, "The numbers we’ve seen in the first half of the year are favorable compared to last year. This suggests that we could close the year with a production of approximately 800,018 vehicles, potentially nearing 900,000 vehicles produced in Guanajuato."

Carlos Talamantes, president of CLAUGTO, announced that FPA 2024 will feature four main areas: a congress area, a business meeting area with more than 2,700 confirmed appointments, a networking area, and the 4.0 Pavilion.

Some confirmed OEM companies include: Stellantis, General Motors, Giant Motors, Kenworth, and Mazda. Registered buyers include: ArcelorMittal, Nidec, Tenneco, ThyssenKrupp, Webasto, ZF, Kasai, Hitachi, KYB, Draxton, Orbis, Cebi, Kostal, among others.
