On July 3rd, Bernd Rohde, CEO of Italian German Exhibition Company Mexico, and Rolando Alaniz, President of the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato (CLAUGTO), signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the development of the entire automotive value chain in the Bajío region towards future mobility, specifically in areas such as freight transportation, light vehicles, infrastructure and sustainability, mobility platforms, and service providers during the 2024, 2025, and 2026 editions of Americas’ Mobility of the Future.

In addition to these objectives, the memorandum includes establishing a space for CLAUGTO within the event's Advisory Council, as well as creating a roadmap with joint activities such as workshops, keynote conferences, discussion panels, and webinars to promote technological adoption, innovation, and the sustainable and smart development of the automotive industry.

During the agreement signing, Bernd Rohde reaffirmed, “Thanks to this partnership, the upcoming editions of Americas’ Mobility of the Future will move in the right direction to encourage technological exchange, knowledge generation, and business development that will help Mexico, with a special focus on the Bajío region, position itself as a strategic player in the global digital and electric mobility transformation.”

For his part, Rolando Alaniz stated, “This collaboration agreement not only represents a commitment to the development of the automotive supply chain but also highlights our focus on the future of mobility. I am confident that with this joint effort, Mexico and Guanajuato will position themselves as strategic players in this transformation of the industry.”

The second edition of Americas’ Mobility of the Future will take place from October 9th to 11th at the Poliforum León, with the participation of more than 80 leading exhibitors in future mobility, 3,000 visitors, 2,200 square meters of exhibition floor, and a conference program designed to drive the entire automotive value chain toward more sustainable mobility.

AMOF 2024, the authentic future mobility fair in Mexico, will be held simultaneously with the sixth edition of Industrial Transformation Mexico, the Hannover Messe of the Americas.
