Esmeralda Quiroz, Manager of Administration at the Automotive
Cluster of Guanajuato, is responsible for the administration of resources and human
capital at CLAUGTO. She shared that one of the challenges is to maintain healthy finances and
achieve sustainability as a non-profit organization through proper
resource management and the creation of value projects for the
industry.
She explained that she has encountered several favorable
opportunities thanks to her studies. She has won scholarships to further
her education and has worked with professionals who have trusted in her and have
opened doors for her on multiple occasions.
She studied Industrial Relations at the University of
Guanajuato and later pursued a Master's degree in Administration as a
full-time student while working on research projects in organizational
behavior. Alongside a multidisciplinary team,
she managed to publish several research papers at national and international
conferences. These research endeavors helped her secure a scholarship for an exchange
program in Spain. Upon completion, she taught for a semester at the Irapuato Institute,
six months later, she joined the Ministry of Sustainable Economic Development
(SDES) in the automotive sector.
From this area and in collaboration with other entities, the
Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato CLAUGTO project was launched. "Even
though I was not a direct employee of the cluster at that time, I witnessed its inception".
Various automotive companies were concerned about aligning the companies established
in the area. It was important to define strategies to remain
competitive and to acquire the appropriate teams.
At that time, various industrial parks were
emerging and more companies were arriving in the area. It was
advisable to take action to unify objectives and achieve collective development. Thus,
CLAUGTO emerged as a means to accomplish this goal.
She collaborated with SDES for approximately 6 years and later
joined CLAUGTO as a comptroller and coordinator of the Property Security
Committee. Since then, she has had opportunities for growth within the
organization that have allowed her to be a mother and maintain her personal projects.
Throughout her career, Esmeralda has also ventured with her husband. Currently, she has a business involving a water purification system and another one focused on cleaning products. Additionally, she is involved in the sale of various products.
