Ecogroup is a team
specialized in managing the environmental issues of its clients. They address issues such as pollution, environmental impact, waste management, atmospheric emissions, and procedures before authorities during the construction, commissioning, and operation of an industry.
Seventeen years ago, Ricardo Rincón Rodríguez, CEO of Ecogroup Environmental Consulting, completed a master's degree in environmental conservation, where he met other environmental professionals. Together, they decided to establish a consulting firm specializing initially in natural resources and later shifting focus to pollution control and prevention.
Regarding one of the most relevant issues in our environment, such as CO2 generation and climate change, he stated that they are working on measuring the capture or mitigation of this through reforestation or compensation in protected natural areas. For this purpose, they are using software that allows them to project how much carbon a company generates and what its capture could be to find a balance.
The Director emphasized that the strength of the company lies in its team, as they have professionals specialized in various environmental issues. With these professionals, they have designed appropriate solutions to the challenges posed by the complex environment in which the industry operates. Over these 16 years, they have evolved, achieving distinctions and certifications that allow Ecogroup to operate in a highly professional manner.
Ricardo Rincón explained that the environmental challenges in our state are marked by excessive air pollution, inadequate management of solid and liquid waste, and water scarcity, all of which are related to climate change.
Another challenge is overregulation and lack of awareness of current environmental regulations, leading to non-compliance. Furthermore, authorities increasingly conduct inspections on aspects that were often overlooked or lacked designated personnel or budgets for addressing them.
Finally, the expert assured that "this is not a topic that runs parallel to development, but rather one that is so inherent that everything environmental provides viability and directly impacts economic and social indicators. The call is for the private industry, authorities, and specialists to increasingly build models of sustainability together."
