The Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato (Claugto) held the Ninth Edition of the Automotive Supplier Forum and the second edition of the Claugto Automotive Congress (CAC) in person, with the purpose of promoting the development of the national industry and more specifically, the state.

During the event, there were 3,800 business meetings, with the participation of over 280 buyers from more than 150 buying companies and over 1,000 direct, indirect, and service providers. Additionally, companies from around 10 countries participated.

We have more than 2,700  business opportunities:

• Direct: Parts manufactured and used in automobiles.

• Indirect: Parts that are manufactured and used for the assembly or manufacturing process of the car.

• Services: Companies dedicated to providing necessary services for the proper functioning of sector enterprises.

Our goal is to inform, train, and update our associates and the supply chain of the automotive industry in Mexico, based on the context of current trends worldwide, through conferences with high-quality content.

During the event, the CLAUGTO Automotive Congress was also held, featuring a series of conferences on topics such as Human Capital, Purchasing, Suppliers, Operational Excellence, and Asset Security; the keynote address was delivered by Marcus Dantus, known as the "shark" from the TV show Shark Tank México.

 

“Sustainability and Innovation: The Key to the Future of the Industry" was the title of that conference, where the speaker shared with over 500 attendees some tips for entrepreneurship and innovation. Some of the points discussed included invention, trimming (functional trimming), and changing old business models.

In this ninth edition, there was also the participation of academia in Pavilion 4.0, where different universities showcased their Industry 4.0 projects.

Within the event, CLAUGTO certifications were awarded. This accreditation is a tool validated by leading companies in the automotive sector, as well as by the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification A.C. (IMNC), which allows understanding the level of professionalization of supplier companies, with the aim of strengthening them and improving the competitiveness of the local industry. Similarly, the annual Buyer and Supplier Awards were presented. The premio al Comprador CLAUGTO It is held annually and aims to recognize organizations, particularly the procurement teams of companies associated with CLAUGTO. The categories to be awarded were: Innovation Projects, Supplier Development, and Continuous Improvement. The winners were:

On the other hand, the premio al Proveedor CLAUGTO It is an annual award that recognizes supplier organizations of direct, indirect, and service materials for their excellent performance during the current year, with the aforementioned categories, the winners were:

·       Moldes y productos inyectados in the direct category

·       HDP Marcit in the indirect category

·       Tropper in the Services category.
