This morning, the "DENSO Mexico Silao Plant Expansion Ceremony" took place to celebrate the future operations that the brand will carry out in the state of Guanajuato as a result of said expansion.

It is intended to produce windshield wiper systems, air conditioners, radiators, and alternators, in order to complement the sister plant located in Nuevo León, thus meeting the production needs of North America.

Yoshiki Ishihara and Takashi Inomata, Vice Presidents of the DENSO Silao plant, were present; Hiromasa Hakamada, President of DENSO Mexico, and virtually Seiji Maeda, President of DENSO North America, as well as the Governor of the state of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, and the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development, Mauricio Usabiaga.

DENSO started operations in Mexico 25 years ago and currently has two plants in Nuevo León and two in Guanajuato (one in Irapuato and one in Silao). The Silao plant began operations in 2013 and has 1,832 employees. Together, the plants located in the State generate 2,500 jobs.

DENSO, located in Guanajuato, with two important and highly recognized plants in Silao and Irapuato, are associated with the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato and supply components to companies such as Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan, and Volkswagen.

It stands out globally for its social and labor work, particularly in Silao, being the first automotive plant with a daycare center provided by IMSS that supports its employees.
