On February 16, 2023, the CLAUGTO Business Networking event took place, held in collaboration with the authorities of the municipality of Silao. 

Margarita Soto Ortiz, Director of Economic Development for the Municipality of Silao; Rolando Alaniz Rosales, President of the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato; Engineer Carlos Talamantes, Vice President of CLAUGTO; Alfredo Jesús Porras Orozco, Director of Investment Attraction for SDES Guanajuato; and Eduardo Knapp, Director of Economic Development for the Municipality of Celaya, were present at the event.

Rolando Alaniz welcomed the more than 100 attendees to the event, emphasizing that such gatherings provide an excellent opportunity for suppliers and buyers in the industry to connect. He reiterated CLAUGTO's objective of strengthening the supply chain and fostering a collaborative community. 

As a first step, Cristina Villaseñor, MRO Coordinator for Pirelli Neumáticos de México and advisor to the CLAUGTO purchasing committee, delivered an insightful conference. In addition to sharing her experience in the purchasing field, she discussed negotiation techniques used in different parts of the world and how to achieve successful negotiations with companies. 

A continuación, se realizó una actividad de integración a cargo de Enrique Gutiérrez, en la que se hicieron dinámicas de socialización, misma que dio pie para iniciar la dinámica de networking en donde proveedores y compradores  pudieron  establecer relaciones, con la finalidad de seguir formando sinergias que impulsen el desarrollo regional, oportunidades y que beneficien a las cadenas de proveeduría, principalmente a proveedores pymes de Guanajuato. Por ello, se contó con la participación de alrededor de 78 proveedores y 17 compradores.

This leads us to highlight the special collaboration we have with the authorities of the municipality of Silao. In this first BNC of 2023, we focused on promoting businesses in this city. Margarita Soto, representing the Mayor of Silao, Carlos García Villaseñor, also delivered some heartfelt words. As part of the event experience, she introduced a special guest, Gilles Spitalier, who conducted a raffle for a "Rally Experience" in which all attendees could participate. 

Silao has played a very important role within the regional automotive industry.
